I’m staying at the Thameside AYH hostel in south London. It’s in a nice neighborhood reconstructed from 19th century ports. There is an old channel that looks like a canal and runs from the Thames near the hostel at Canada Water, an old port area. There is a shopping center there with a Tesco store about a miles from the hostel along pretty brick path.
The hostel has a restaurant and bar, guest kitchen, TV lounge, and a laundry room with washers and dryers. Every bed has a panel with two USB port, a 220V outlet, and a light. It has hosted large school groups from Birmingham, Spain, and France in my three days here.
Tomorrow I’m going to bike a bit and finish with a train to Bath where I have book the YHA hostel for two days.
I’ll keep you advised.
